I qualified in 1994 after noticing, as a Social Care Manager, that so many service users seemed to have hearing difficulties.
Although I have no hearing difficulties many of my family and friends have some degree of hearing loss, including one of my previous colleagues who has worn hearing aids since childhood and was originally fitted with standard NHS hearing aids.
Whilst the NHS does an outstanding job and now fits digital technology, I realised that the generic models available on the NHS did not suit every patient and, after several years working with two of the National companies, decided to develop my own business in order to offer clients a more personal service at more affordable prices.
Within a few years I had become a Fellow of The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiology and took a further qualification as a Clinical Ear Care Specialist so I can remove ear wax.In 2013 I launched the first UK company to specialise in invisible and discreet hearing aids and, along with my son Peter, have steadily grown the business since then.
