Nigel Thompson

I qualified in 1994 after noticing, as a Social Care Manager, that so many service users seemed to have hearing difficulties.
Although I have no hearing difficulties many of my family and friends have some degree of hearing loss, including one of my previous colleagues who has worn hearing aids since childhood and was originally fitted with standard NHS hearing aids.
Whilst the NHS does an outstanding job and now fits digital technology, I realised that the generic models available on the NHS did not suit every patient and, after several years working with two of the National companies, decided to develop my own business in order to offer clients a more personal service at more affordable prices.
Within a few years I had become a Fellow of The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiology and took a further qualification as a Clinical Ear Care Specialist so I can remove ear wax.In 2013 I launched the first UK company to specialise in invisible and discreet hearing aids and, along with my son Peter, have steadily grown the business since then.

I graduated from Anglia Ruskin university with a degree in Hearing Aid Audiology in 2011 where I then went straight into the private sector working alongside Dad.
Although hearing provision is available on the NHS I felt that I could offer a more diverse and bespoke service to my patients.
I am also a fully qualified Clinical Ear Care Specialist and I can remove wax and obstructions from your ear safely and comfortably.
Having worked in the profession now for 8 years I’ve learnt a great deal and my focus is to provide a quality, professional and bespoke service using the latest equipment and procedures whilst still offering the comfort and peace of mind that you get from a family run business.
I look forward to seeing you.

I am the Accessories Manager with overall responsibility for sending out all your hearing aid batteries and accessories as required. I am a fully qualified Hearing Care Assistant with a keen interest in working with some of the amazing hearing technology that is now available – a far cry from my grandparents and parents’ prescriptions, and I am also qualified to carry out microsuction ear wax removal.
I look forward to meeting you at home or in one of our clinics.

I have been working with Nigel since he started his Independent Hearing Care business in 2003 and have been the first point of call for the patients working as master of operations in the backroom. I have NVQ Level 2 in both Business & Administration and Customer Services. As a hearing aid user myself I have experienced several different hearing systems fitted by Nigel and his son Peter over the years and have really noticed the benefit of advancing technology. I‘d be really happy to have a chat with anyone wishing to know what it’s like to wear hearing aids, as well as booking your appointments.
I look forward to hearing from you.
